"Hi Nicholas, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry you’re disappointed with your recent renewal increase. I also appreciate that you’ve been with State Farm for about 10 years, and that you came to our Texas agency about a year ago.

I totally understand how it can feel unfair when you’ve been working with us and still see your premium go up. In Texas, renewal pricing is based on Texas Department of Insurance–approved rating factors and filings, and those can reflect overall risk and your claims/loss activity—even when some costs are later recovered from the other party through subrogation.

For example, the claim you referenced from last August involved subrogation, but the fact that a claim occurred may still factor into the way policies are rated under the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI)-approved rate filings. And the claim from this past March resulted from an at-fault incident when you ran into a tree, which is also something we typically see reflected in renewal rating.
